Okay, moment of honesty…Season 6 was my first time watching Love Is Blind. Although very entertaining, I thought the majority of the participants needed therapy, not a spouse, but unfortunately these days emotional instability equates to good tv. In the beginning, I was intrigued with the concept of falling in love with someone before ever seeing them. Then the producers of the show let those people move in together, and all hell broke lose. The former therapist in me found herself yelling at my flat screen, as people started to unravel and their toxic traits came tumbling out.
To be honest, this season was pretty ridiculous. I don’t know how Chelsea made it through the psychological exam or clay. If the idea is that you are going to get married at the end of this people are failing to understand the assignment. If this was your first time, watching love is blind I highly highly highly suggest that you check out season one when intentions were pure, and the results were dynamic. Some of the couples are still married and their relationships are still beautiful at least from the outside. It’s now a cult classic show that everyone wants to be on and not for the right intentions. It’s clear that Jimmy ONLY chose Chelsea because she said she look like Megan Fox. He really wanted the other girl. The show has become a lot like married at first sight where participants are only on it for the increase followers and the likes.
Update...I started watching Season 1 last night and I see what you are talking about. There is a big difference, but also some similarities - especially when it comes to the Black men.
I've heard that the first seasons were very pure, and the end results were indeed very different. Jimmy really wanted Jessica, but Chelsea basically did her manipulation thing because she overheard that he was considering her, and I think for her it became being picked over the "pretty girl." She was really into Trevor. I was baffled as to how Chelsea made it on the damn show with all of her insecurities. I am definitely going back and watch the other seasons.
Miss Margarita's words were the single redemption of the whole season. She was so generous in her truth-telling. She gave her ex a gift. I hope he received it.
I’ve never watched Love is Blind, but now I’m intrigued!
That is why I watched this season, totally intrigued!
Clay’s mom….. those words dropped like a feather but sounded like bricks when it hit the floor. I am happy she read him on TV.
She was so graceful and all he could do was stand there and take it. For the level of cheating that he did...he deserved that very public read.

I honestly think her gift went over his head, but the rest of the world...we received it.
