If you’re like me, Pinterest is your go to app for lifestyle inspiration; from what to wear, to how to create a fabulous dishes for dinner - Pinterest is THAT platform! But have you ever considered Pinterest as a place to market and generate sales for your book, blog, products or services?
Over the years, I tapped into the power of Pinterest to help promote a podcast I used to host, and a blog I wrote for women entrepreneurs. I too was like you when it came to Pinterest, until I ran across a YouTube video that talked about how you could make money using the platform. I was all ears!
From the video, I went all in and worked with a Pinterest coach (yes, there are people who actually do this for a living), in addition to taking courses, and reading everything that I could get my hands on regarding how to leverage the platform outside of those tasty dishes and fashion trends.
In 2022, I pivoted away from solely doing business coaching, and I ended the podcast. Feeling like I no longer had a use for the platform, I honestly forgot about Pinterest for approximately 2 years. But in recent weeks, I got an itch to return, so I decided to give Pinterest another shot. My goal was to promote this blog - The Misadventures of a Retired Hot Girl, but honey…keep reading, because what I’ve gotten has been so much more!
